Today I want to share a little secret with you. I don’t always spring up out of my bed in the morning feeling 10,000% excited or confident. But here’s the deal. Not every day is going to be golden, but you can assuredly recover the day if you have coping strategies for anything negative that comes your way and a routine that you can count on to get you out of your funk.

Tony Robbins calls this a “state change.” What he means is that you need to figure out what you are going to do to change your state of mind so you can accomplish all you have to get done, even when you don’t feel like it.

I am looking at a whole lot of to-do’s that I need to move to my to-done list. Today I am coaching, recording podcast episodes, talking to a couple of cool potential JV partners and a lot of other stuff. Fortunately, I love what I do, so getting to a more positive place in my head won’t be that tough. I have my routine and I’ll go do what I do on a regular basis. That’s what I suggest that you do whenever you aren’t feeling bright and shiny, ready to take on everything you need to get done. Get a routine.

Remember “consistent” success does not mean “constant” success. You are going to have off days. Hey, you’re human. Take action to get yourself up and out of your funk. Take a walk, read a book, learn something new and/or listen to a few podcast episodes that you find inspiring. I have a really good one I can suggest to you. ; )
