With the networking event in my rearview mirror, today I’m focused on honey do’s. I look forward to moving them to my honey done’s list! I don’t mind. My wife always sends me out on fun adventures, so we’ll see how this one goes.

Later today I’ll be looking through the commercial lease contract. That’s something new for me. Fortunately, the attorney has gone through it and made his changes. I just have to read through them carefully and approve. It’s part of my role as CEO. I get VETO power, which is way better than having to make all the decisions. That just wears a body out. I may not totally enjoy this contract review and paperwork part, but I have to do it. It’s my business.

I have a meeting to look forward to today, too. This one’s about a building and funding. There’s a lot of detail about that in this video entry! Pay attention.

What else?

My team and I launched a new marketing campaign today. Since we don’t know what we don’t know… we don’t know how well this will work, but we feel mighty confident that it will.

Finally, I’m heading to a Cashflow game that a few friends invited me to, and they promised me free pizza. I love pizza! I’ll help out if they need me to, and I can help them educate their players. That’s fun for me.

While I’m going through my day today I’m also waiting on about a million dollars in revenue. I know our systems work, so whether that money comes in right away or not, we’ll be fine. At the end of the day, what I’m doing and what my team is doing with me is not about making money first. It’s about solving problems and helping create clean, safe, affordable housing for people who might not otherwise have it.

We never want to just make a dollar. We want to make a difference. I truly believe that should be your goal, too, but that’s for you to decide.
