Anyone who knows me also knows that I don’t like sitting still for long. Lately, that is a challenge for me, because I’m doing things that actually take time to develop. Like negotiating the lease with ACE Hardware for the commercial space in Colorado. We are negotiating the commencement date.
What that means is the date the person or entity leasing a property from you will make the first rent payment. They want one start date and I want another, so we’re going back and forth.
The other thing that’s taking more time than I like is our new PPC (pay-per-click) campaign. I am told that it takes time for that campaign to evolve and do what it’s supposed to do. It makes me physically nauseous to think about spending money where I’m not sure there will be returns. Logically I know the returns are there and it’s not really like gambling, but it feels that way. I’m not big into gambling. I like to know the returns ahead of time, but marketing is a strange new animal for me. Ugh.
I’m not letting my emotions get in the way.
That’s a rule I want you to follow. Just because you’re feeling fear or anxiety about learning new things, like doing Real Estate transactions or getting out there and networking with other human beings, that is no reason not to move forward. Do it anyway.
Also, focus on the good things that are going on in your life and business. For me, I’m focusing on how we received a nice wire transfer for the sale of 16 houses. I’ll focus on the fact that we’ll be getting more of those deals.
I’ll focus on my new coaching clients and their successes. Already they are getting very close to closing their first deals. That means they’ll be earning the $10K a month I promised they could do.
That’s exciting stuff for me! And I’m learning to celebrate. That’s important, too. Celebrate your victories.
