In today’s Video Diary Entry, you will see me taking control of my emotions. I’m experiencing a few that aren’t so positive because things aren’t moving fast enough for me in some of the new marketing strategies we’re trying.

That said, I also have to remind myself that I have no frame of reference on this stuff. It’s all pretty new to me. So I have to breathe and do a little mind exercise that helps me put things into perspective.

I share this exercise with you, because you need to have ways to gain control over your negative emotions. If you’re like me, you have a long task list to get through every day. It’s easier when you dispense with the negative emotions.

Here’s what I want you to do when you’re not feeling like your day is going well or maybe you don’t feel like you’re getting things done quickly enough.

Grab a piece of paper and a pen. Now jot down FIVE successful events that happened today.

I don’t care if it was that you hugged your wife or kissed your kids, or maybe you opened all your mail and disposed of the junk bits. These are successful events if you did them and had a positive outcome. Jot them all down.
